Aug 31,  · Still not Delbert's best, though. "Honky Tonkin'" is an improvement with Delbert's signature horns. Finally, out of nowhere, he hits full stride with the great "Lovey Dovey". Again, the track features great horns including a fantastic sax solo. Classic Delbert honky-tonk soul. The jump-blues followup, "It's Love Baby", just doesn't work for me/5(7).

Jan 26,  · Very enjoyable CD: some rock'n'roll and some honky tonk. Young Marty's voice already very impressive. The title song 'Knee deep in the Blues' alone justifies purchasing this record. Great stuff! (4 and a half stars)/5(2).

Well I don't have much to say now well I'm just knee deep in the blues Well I've just been thinking things over my heart has flowen with tears My life just don't seem worth living and it's been this way for years Don't ask me why I am crying cause I have lost about all I can lose Well there's just no use in trying well I'm just knee deep in the.
